Update: we talked to the owner this afternoon. Very rude and dishonest.
I have never left a review on anything before in my life, but I feel I need to now. We rented a cement grinder and were handed two different kinds of bits and told, “Use the green bits first, and if they are too soft, use the gray bits. There will be an additional charge if you use the gray bits.” I agreed to that, signed the paper, and rented the grinder. When my husband returned it this morning, they charged us TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS MORE than the original $114. Wow. The reason for the tripling of our rental price was because we had ground the bits down. We did nothing out of the ordinary, just used the machine as it is meant to be used. They would not budge or even understand our shock when we were hesitant to pay such an astronomical and unseen charge. There was no upfront info on this and we have never rented a grinder before, so did not anticipate being held responsible for this. They threatened to turn us over to a collection agency as we were there in the office, so we payed. I will update this posting if anything changes, we plan on talking to the owner this afternoon.
After getting quotes on tool rental from Menards and this place I decided to support the small independent business. Big mistake. Their weekend rental policy is a rip-off - they charge you for full day rental on Sundays when they aren't even open!!! - not at Menards. Save big money and go to Menards - you don't get charged when store is closed. Staff is rude and not at all customer friendly. Sorry Ripley's you lost another customer that doesn't appreciate being gouged.
Not satisfied at all. The guys who set it up were nice but the owner was completely rude. I was also told a 20x50 tent would be plenty of room for 180 chairs. We didn't even get to put 20 chairs out bc it was so crammed. Would not reccommend.
